What did you do this past week?

I worked on assignments and prepared for exams a little.

What’s in your way?

Not much. Most of my classes have or are about to give the last assignment of the semester, so that’s something to look forward to.

What will you do next week?

I’ll finish the last exam/grade in the class that I’m most concerned about, so next week will probably be a lot more chill for me. I’ll probably start/finish up on the Life project before that.

If you read it, what did you think of the The Joel Test?

I’m not usually a fan of these coding principles and stuff (I recognize the importance and impact of them, but I’m just not a very organized guy) but I actually really enjoyed that read. Everything that was discussed made a lot of sense, and all of the questions are things that are easily answered and easily fulfilled.

What was your experience of virtual and dynamic binding? (this question will vary, week to week)

I thought it was very interesting. I like how we are given a choice between the two in C++, but since C++ is an object-oriented language, it seems like it would make more sense for dynamic binding to be the default instead of static binding. The virtual keyword seems very useful for writing hierarchies.

What made you happy this week?

I got my second vaccine shot today, so that was cool. Hopefully I don’t feel too awful tomorrow.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I don’t know, I don’t really have a tip/pick. I guess… getting a lot of sleep is good for your health and your performance!
